at the 1:34 mark, the drums kick in. and it is nice. yes. i think it's the thought of dancing to this or some band like animal collective, whom i'm currently giving another chance, with a straight face, that can be engaging.

writing of dance, i was just watching an American Maters piece on PBS. holy science! what a life that man lead. he seemed utterly relentless in his professional life and laid down works of beauty in his wake. in the googles while watching it, i found this piece of brill-yance, in and of itself.

MJ, as he is know by most, will be playing the part of stuart and was officially attached to the project this afternoon. for the time being he will keep his day job as kerbey lane UT's GM, but once he hits the silver screen, well ... . he has been unknowingly auditioning for the part for some time now. @ work, we've been having impromptu dance offs while garnishing, re-filling waters, etc etc and though, sadly, he doesn't possess the moves i can throw down (few do), he comes awfully damn close. it feels good to have that big piece of casting off my shoulders. little by little, the pre-production is coming coming together. the production date is locked in on march 28th and 29th. more MM news to come.

for this bloggity blog blog there's no one song or artist in particular to point to (though it is disconcerting to see hiatus attached to belle and sebastian) but rather to showcase another kerbey lane media blog. this one comes from john b ~ a rockstar of sorts in the late night sub-genre of life serving the masses in quesofied chiaroscuro. he is an s.o.b. r.t.f b.s. and one day ph.d in badassery.

cannibalcheerleader should be one to bookmark and check in on occasionally. if anything, the site represents john b's (and co.) unique and inked over outlook and i love 'em for it.

i'm not sure of the current status of Tacks, The Boy Disaster. hiatus might be the word, but again i'm unsure. The reason for the tracks, aside from their natural charm, is to highlight a member of michael and tony's "new" band. Their post glass family collaboration remains untitled, but with the boys energy and talent alongside evan, the Tacks, The Boy Disaster front man, playing keys and an okkervil guitar to boot, the potential is staggering.

this local band recently canceled a show in happy valley, pa, which is shame. i would imagine it's been since my morning jacket in the red rock glow that lace had the opp. to see a good show. and these guys play a good show. though it's been a while since i've seen them so they may be road weary.
